Did you miss the live showing of WEC 53 on Thursday (Dec. 16)? Have you been living under a rock since then and missed the various highlights and replays? Just want to see it again?
Versus has you covered, as they will re-air the "Henderson vs Pettis" event tonight (Dec. 18) at 11 p.m. ET that was originally broadcast from the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
In what was a historic event, due to it being the final show promoted under the World Extreme Cagefighting umbrella, there were many memorable performances, including a "Fight of the Year" candidate in the main event.
Titleholder Ben Henderson and challenger Anthony Pettis had a thrilling back-and-forth war that saw the crowing of a new and final WEC lightweight champion after five rounds of intense action.
And one jaw-dropping "Showtime off-the-wall kick" that fans will be talking about for a long time.
Another belt was up for grabs in the co-main event of the evening, as Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz put his strap on the line against the durable Scott Jorgensen.
"The Dominator" broke the record for strikes landed in a fight in the WEC with 243 total. "Young Guns" simply had no answer for the diverse attack of the California native.
In other action, Donald Cerrone went all geometrical with a triangle choke of Chris Horodecki while Eddie Wineland did his best "Rampage" impression and put Ken Stone on queer street with a monster slam that earned him a "Knockout of the Night" bonus.
Remember to tune in to Versus tonight at 11 p.m. ET to catch the replay of the final WEC event.
