Quoteworthy:

"It’s something that we’re definitely looking at. You have to look at it from all different angles. Would it be a fun fight to promote? Sure. I think we should wait until the beginning of the year, and let’s have another conversation on that because with Miller and Diaz I just couldn’t imagine the extra security that I’d probably need to get to make that fight happen."

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker expounds upon the issues presented with making a fight between middleweight contender Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz. Fans have been clamoring for the fight since the now infamous brawl at Strikeforce: "Nashville" in which "Mayhem" was jumped by the entire Cesar Gracie team, led by Diaz, after he interrupted a post fight interview with Jake Shields. Reports came out the two were involved in yet another altercation six months later at the conclusion of Strikeforce: "Diaz vs Noons 2." Miller has done anything and everything to make the fight happen, even going so far as to create a disparaging website to entice Diaz to accept the matchup. For as long as these two have been going back and forth, are you finally ready to see them get in the cage and settle this dispute once and for all? Or are there just too many obstacles to overcome? Have at it, Maniacs.
