It had already been reported that Daniel Cormier would headline a Strikeforce Challengers card currently scheduled for Jan. 7. We just didn't know who it would be against.

It's a mystery no longer.

The undefeated heavyweight will take on the unheralded Devin Cole at an as yet to be announced Challengers card tentatively scheduled for Jan. 7, according to FiveOuncesofPain.

Cormier is a perfect 6-0 in his career that started just over one year ago. He's run through all six opponents, finishing each of them in the very first round.

The AKA product will get a chance to extend his unbeaten streak against an unknown but talented wrestler in Cole.

Cole has been a professional since 2003 and has been inside the ring with such veterans as Jeff Monson, Krzysztof Soszynski and Ben Rothwell. He lost all of those fights but he's certainly battle tested and has won five of his past six fights.

Cormier vs Cole is the only fight announced for this Strikeforce Challengers card that is expected to take place on Jan. 7. No venue has been announced for the event as of this time.
