The UFC has been forced to come up with an opponent for Josh Grispi now that Jose Aldo has pulled out of the fight with a neck injury.

Looks like they've found one.

Dustin Poirier has been called on as Aldo's replacement and he will take on Grispi at UFC 125 on Jan.1 in Las Vegas, according to Heavy.com.

Although it has not been confirmed, it is no longer expected to serve as the nights co-main event.

It's a tough break for Grispi, who hasn't lost since December of 2006 and was getting his first shot at UFC gold. Now he'll be looking to avoid a "Fluke" loss to the "Diamond" 21 year old up-and-comer.

Poirier is 8-1 in just over a year as a professional fighter. He joined the WEC in August of this year (2010) and lost a decision to Danny Castillo before bouncing back with a dominant first round stoppage of Zach Micklewright at WEC 53 on Nov. 11.

UFC 125: "Resolution" is set to go down on Jan. 1 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headlining the card is a long awaited rematch between Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and the "Bully" Gray Maynard.

The undercard is packed with potentially exciting match-ups featuring the always relentless Clay Guida against the powerful hands of Takanori Gomi. Nate Diaz will look to continue his run at 170-pounds by taking out the "Stun Gun" Dong Hyun-Kim while Chris Leben will go to war with Brian Stann in a middleweight contest.
