Georges St. Pierre would destroy Jake Shields ...

... at least if you're asking for Nate Marquardt's opinion:

"It's hard to say. I think he definitely would be good at middleweight but I thought he looked bad at 170. Part of it was the weight cut, but part of it is his style as well, and I think a lot of people underestimate Kampmann -- he's a tough, well-rounded fighter. I don't think he's the best but he's good at everything. Shields is kind of the opposite -- not good at some things but really good or the best at other things. I think putting Shields against a well-rounded opponent was bad for him against Kampmann and worse against Georges. I think Georges is going to destroy him."

Nate Marquardt gives his thoughts on Jake Shields' performance against Martin Kampmann at UFC 121, as well as predicts the outcome of a potential match up with welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre. In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that the champ is a teammate of Marquardt's and there is obviously going to be a heavy amount of bias. That said, there are many pundits and fans alike that completely agree with his sentiment. What do the Maniacs think? Would Shields stand a chance up against "Rush?" Or are his talents better suited to the UFC's middleweight division? Sound off!
