Quoteworthy:

"In [the Hardy fight], I felt as comfortable as I’ve ever felt in the cage. I feel like I’m coming into my prime now. It’s now or never if I’m going to get that belt around my waist. I’m going to give it my best effort and train as hard as I can, and these next couple of fights will probably define my career ... I think Fitch, that would be a great fight. I think his game plan would be similar to (GSP’s) game plan. Wrestler probably try to take me down, and if I could deal with that then that is maybe a marker for how I might do in a title match ... I’d have to work my butt off, but I like a challenge."

Suddenly relevant UFC welterweight contender Carlos Condit is ready to use his momentum from last month's UFC 120 knockout over Dan Hardy to catapult himself into a title elimination match against Jon Fitch now that Jake Shields has cut in line to get a shot at the winner of St. Pierre vs. Koscheck on Dec. 11. While it's a match-up that may answer a lot of questions about where these two stand in the division, is it too much, too soon? Or will "The Natural Born Killer" become the next contender for the 170-pound gold?
