Strikeforce books Shane Del Rosario vs Brandon Cash for Nov. 6 'Challengers' event

Former WBO Muay Thai champion Shane Del Rosario (8-0) and undefeated War Gods veteran Brandon Cash (5-0), are scheduled to meet at Strikeforce Challengers "Evangelista vs. Gurgel," which is slated for the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., on Nov. 6.

After steamrolling his way through the ShoXC "Elite Challenger Series" in 2008, Del Rosario was acquired by Strikeforce in the Pro Elite sale earlier this year.

The Team Oyama standout was forced to sit on the sidelines to nurse a broken hand at the end of 2008, but quickly returned to action back in January, barreling over any and all competition under the M-1 banner and remaining perfect in three appearances.

All eight of his victories have been stoppages -- one by submission and seven by technical knockout. And of those bouts, only one has seen the second round.

Standing in his way is the also-debuting Brandon Cash.

The former wrestling standout out of Buchannan High is coming off an impressive technical knockout win over Steve Gavin at Palace Fighting Championships in February of this year.

Cash is known for his wrestling but hasn't let his mat pedigree stop him from ending four of his five fights by way of TKO, including a perfect 3-0 run in the War Gods promotion.

Strikeforce Challengers 4 is set to be headlined by a lightweight battle between seven fight UFC veteran Jorge Gurgel and undefeated Fresno resident Billy Evangelista. Jesse "JT" Money and Luke Rockhold will also compete on the televised portion of the card.
