With less than a week remaining before WEC 43 kicks off from The AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas this Saturday night, the sister promotion to the UFC has been working hard to finalize WEC 44, which will take place a little more than three weeks later on November 18 from "The Pearl" at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Earlier today the organization officially added four fights to the undercard portion of that event, including a lightweight match-up between James Krause and Ricardo Lamas -- two previously undefeated fighters who are both coming off the first losses of their careers inside the WEC cage.
The two featured fights on the WEC 44 card are both highly anticipated bouts. Featherweight champion Mike Thomas Brown is set to defend his title for the third time against perhaps his most dangerous challenger to date in Brazilian fighter Jose Aldo. And former UFC lightweights turned WEC featherweights Manny Gamburyan and Leonard Garcia are slated to mix it up in the night's co-headliner.
It's shaping up to be one of the best events of the year for the promotion. Check out the rest of the lineup so far for WEC 44: "Brown vs. Aldo" below:
