Sengoku 8: Travis Wiuff set to face Stanislav Nedkov on May 2

World Victory Road has added a light-heavyweight fight to its "Sengoku 8" event pitting MMA veteran Travis Wiuff (54-12) against Bulgaria's Stanislav Nedkov (5-0) on May 2 at the National Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

"Diesel" has fought just about everywhere including the UFC, PRIDE, IFL and even the legendary YAMMA Pit Fighting event. Before getting stopped at Sengoku 5 by up-and-coming star Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, Wiuff was riding a nine-fight win streak, including a brutal KO victory over Kazuyuki Fujita at Sengoku 3.

Opposing him is the Bulgarian butt-kicker Stanislav Nedkov. Neddy cut his teeth in the Shooto promotion and most recently clowned Masayuki Kono at Pancrase: "Shining 10" last December.

Sengoku 8 will be a busy night of fights as it also hosts the quarterfinals of the 2009 featherweight grand prix.

Tournament favorite and promotion poster boy Hatsu Hioki has been put to the task of facing the very formidable Ronnie Mann in what could promise to be am action-packed ground war.

The often overlooked Michihiro Omigawa — who earned his spot in the quarterfinals by garnering a hard fought decision victory over L.C Davis (13-2) — will have another tough test when he faces the always dangerous Nam Phan.

And Masanori Kanehara will collide with the explosive Jung Chan Sung while featherweight King of Pancrase Marlon Sandro will do battle with heavy-handed Nick Denis, which should present an interesting styles clash when both fighters put their perfect records on the line come fight time.

Here is the current line-up for "Sengoku 8:"

Travis Wiuff (54-12) vs. Stanislav Nedkov (5-0)
Alexandre Ribeiro (1-0) vs. Keiichiro Yamamiya (34-23-9)

Kazunori Yokota (8-2-3) vs. Leonardo Santos (6-2)

Featherweight GP Quarterfinals:
