The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released early salary figures for UFC 91: "Couture vs. Lesnar" main event participants, Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar, on the eve of their showdown at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on November 15.
Couture is on course to pocket $250,000 for his participation in the "biggest fight in UFC history" and can double his purse ($500,000) with a win, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times. Lesnar, too, will earn a quarter million dollars just for showing up, but his win bonus is $50, 000 less ($200,000) than "The Natural."
Either way you shake it both Couture and Lesnar stand to be rewarded handsomely for their efforts. And, keep in mind, the base salaries mentioned above do not include signing bonuses, sponsorships, pay-per-view (PPV) percentages and other unofficial payments.
MMAmania.com will pass along additional salary figures for the remaining participants on the fight card as soon as possible. To check out the official UFC 91 line up set for tonight click here.
