Joe Stevenson motivated to defeat Kenny Florian at UFC 91thanks to BJ Penn loss

Quoteworthy:

"I still think about [the loss to BJ Penn]. I have to. It's what keep me motivated and makes me train harder. If we don't remember our past, we can't go forward. I have a Hawaiian wife man. She brings it up every time we argue.... I'm fighting to be a champion. I want that belt; there is no other reason. I've fought for free and I'll probably fight for free before I die again, but I'm going to bring it."

Joe Stevenson will look to re-establish his status as the number one lightweight title contender when he takes on Kenny Florian at UFC 91: "Couture vs. Lesnar" in the co-featured bout of the evening on November 15. "Daddy" lost his bid to become the 155-pound world champion when he and BJ Penn collided earlier this year at UFC 80: "Rapid Fire." Stevenson sustained a gruesome cut in the bout, which eventually ended in the second round thanks to a rear naked choke from "The Prodigy." Stevenson is not the only one who still thinks about that fight -- the pictures of him after the loss are some of the best ever. Unless, of course, MMAmania.com readers can trump the Stevenson pic with others from 2008 that are equally as gripping in the comments section below.
