Today -- even though it has been known for several weeks now -- Elite XC announced its year-ending show dubbed "A Night of Champions" at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada, on November 8, which will air live on Showtime beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
"A Night of Champions" will appropriately feature at least two title bouts on the televised main card.
In the main event, "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler (16-4) will defend his 185-pound Elite XC title for the third time against Greg Jackson trainee Joey Villasenor (26-6) in a rematch from a 22-second knockout suffered by Villasenor at Pride 32 back in 2006.
The co-main event will pit Philadelphia native Eddie Alvarez (15-1) against Cesar Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt Nick Diaz (18-7) for the company's vacant lightweight title.
Here's what Elite XC has officially announced for the card thus far:
Main event:
Elite XC Middleweight Champion "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler (16-4) vs. Joey Villasenor (26-6)
