Brad Morris (9-3) and Octagon newcomer Jason Brilz (15-1-1) will collide in a light heavyweight clash at UFC Fight Night 15 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Neb., on September 17, according to MMAonTap.com.
It’s a 205-pound fight that is slated for the preliminary card, which makes it unlikely that it will air during the Spike TV broadcast that begins at 8 p.m. ET.
Regardless, this will mark the first fight in the division for Morris after getting creamed by Cain Velasquez in a heavyweight bout at UFC 83: "Serra vs. St. Pierre 2" in April. Prior to the loss, the Australian prospect strung together four consecutive winning performances.
Brilz, on the other hand, boasts a near perfect professional record and has won 11 straight contests. The Nebraska-based fighter –- who is a decorated amateur wrestler -– has notable wins over veterans such as Jason MacDonald, Alex Schoenauer and others.
Two lightweight match ups -– Nate Diaz vs. Josh Neer and Clay Guida vs. Mac Danzig –- highlight the Spike TV special presentation, which serves as the lead-in to The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 season premier at 10 p.m. ET.
