The Thiago Silva vs. Lyoto Machida match announced yesterday was to take its place. We don't have an update yet on the status of Alves-Sanchez, other than the match has not been signed."
Dave Meltzer reports that the welterweight showdown between Sanchez and Alves is not going to happen in Birmingham as previously reported.
