Filed under: leads UFC New York push for MMA legalization

MMA Facts

Props: New York Times

"On Monday, the company that owns the [UFC] will begin its public campaign to legalize so-called mixed martial arts fighting in [New York], 11 years after it was banned by Gov. George E. Pataki.... Zuffa, the company that acquired the championship in 2001, will unveil the Web site on Monday to argue that it has transformed the sport into more legitimate, and corporate-sponsored, entertainment."

The "Athletes" section is a bit over the top is you ask me, but otherwise this is a long overdue resource. And is Matt Lindland really featured on a Zuffa-owned Web site? Weird.
