UFCs Tito Ortiz debuts on 'The Celebrity Apprentice' tonight on NBC

Tito Ortiz the apprentice

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz will appear on the premiere episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice" this evening (January 3) on the NBC network at 9 p.m. ET.

"The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" will join 13 other celebrities such as KISS frontman Gene Simmons and retired professional boxing champion Lennox Lewis in the primetime slot, "competing in business-driven tasks around New York City ... [to raise] money and awareness for their respective causes."

That's right, contestants on season seven will not be working toward a position with Donald Trump. Instead, the motley crew will participate on the show in the names of certain charities.

Here's more:

"Contestants will not be vying for a job with Donald Trump, but the business-savvy celebrity contestants will be working towards a greater goal -- as they raise over a million dollars for their various charities throughout the season. Not only will the final winner be crowned the first 'Celebrity Apprentice,' but he or she will also have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their designated charity."

This should be good. Either that or really, really painful to watch. Tune-in.
