Christian Wellisch (7-3) is in talks to fight Justin McCully (8-3-2) at UFC 76: "Knockout" on September 22, according to a UFCmania.com source.
While no bout agreements have been signed at this time, we have learned that the two heavyweights will more than likely clash at The Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
"The Hungarian Nightmare" is looking to build on his unanimous decision win over Anthony Perosh at UFC 66 in December 2006. Prior to that bout, the law student suffered a setback in his Octagon debut against firece striker Chieck Kongo at UFC 62 back in August 2006.
McCully -- a last-minute replacement for Frank Mir -- shocked a few folks with his unanimous decision win over Antoni Hardonk at UFC Fight Night 9 in April. The Team Punishment disciple is currently overseas with U.S. troops on a tour with ringleader Tito Ortiz.
