"How could you disrespect him [BJ Penn]? The first fight was a war. It could have ended in the second round when he had me in an arm bar. It could have gone either way. On a personal level, I'd love to get to know the guy. But when people ask you after the fight, 'would you fight him again and how would you like the fight to go?' Well then you talk about what you want to accomplish in the fight. If I got to design the fight, yeah I'd say a knockout. Get him with the first three punches, boom-boom-boom. On the competitive side, yeah I want to beat him, knock him out. But I never disrespected anyone I've fought. That's what hurt me so much going in the show; he did that all the time to me. When this fight is over, I'll train with the guy. But yes, I'm going to tell you that I'm going to beat you into the ground. I want to beat anyone I fight into the ground. But I never talked about him as a person. Do I think if he and I met on the street that we'd come to blows? No. Maybe after this show but not after the fight. Ask me about BJ the person and I'll tell you that the guy cracks me up. Even watching the show he's been cracking me up. He's a funny guy."
-- Former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver tells InsideFighting.com that the animosity between him and BJ Penn -- who is the opposing coach on this season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) -- is maybe not all it's cracked up to be despite its appearance. The two will rematch at the TUF 5 Finale on June 23 to settle their feud once and for all.
