Luigi Fioravanti (10-2) and Forrest Petz (12-4) will hook ‘em up at UFC Fight Night 10 in a welterweight clash on June 12, according to MMAWeekly.com.
Both fighters — who prefer to stand on their feet and bang — are coming off of tough losses. Petz dropped a unanimous decision to Kuniyoshi Hironaka at UFC Fight Night 9, and Fioravanti succumbed to a Jon Fitch rear naked choke at UFC 68.
This is a make or break fight for Petz, who has dropped two straight inside the Octagon. The Cleveland, Ohio, native will need to rely heavily on his powerful left hook if he wants to win this thing.
Fioravanti has knockout power in both fists and is a former middleweight-turned 170 pounder. He's been in against bigger, stronger guys and will need to apply that experience if he wants to earn the win.
Either way, on the surface this seems to be an explosive fight that shouldn't last the full 15 minutes.
