UFC Fight Night 9 is in the books and it appears that all the fighters on the card for the most escaped the event injury-free, according to the official results and medical suspensions recently released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Brash and cocky Melvin Guillard — who got choked out in 27 seconds of the first round — perhaps has a deep ego hematoma, but I don't think those count.
Here's the injured list:
Justin McCully — Suspended until May 6, 2007. He must have a MRI of his left elbow and be cleared by a physician or no contest until October 3, 2007.
Antoni Hardonk — Suspended until May 21, 2007.
Dokonjonosuke Mishima — Suspended until May 6, 2007. He must have his broken nose cleared by physician or no contest until October 3, 2007.
Keita Nakamura — Suspended until May 21, 2007. No contest until May 6, 2007, because of a lip laceration.
Drew Fickett — Suspended until May 21, 2007, and no contest until May 6, 2007.
Kenny Florian -- who got trapped in a grotesque Mishima kneebar but refused to tap — appears to have suffered no damage to his joint.
