Chris Leben confirms Kalib Starnes UFC 71 fight ...sorta

Chris Leben confirms Kalib Starnes
After tasting defeat for the second time in three tries, UFC middleweight Chris Leben (16-3) took some time off from fighting and is now off the sauce, too.

He's ready to get back in the cage against Canadian Kalib Starnes (7-1-1) at UFC 71 on May 26, according to a recent MySpace blog post.

Here's a snip:

"It's been a while, but here's what I've been up to. Nothing's signed but the word is I'm fighting Kalib Starnes in May. I'm really excited about the fight and I'm pumped to be getting back in the cage. I took last month off to get a bit of tattoo work done, snowboard, ride dirtbikes, relax - so I was ready to get back to training. I've been hitting the gym like crazy, splitting my time between AMC and Team Quest and I've been staying away from alcohol completely as I'm sorting out some past issues.... Thanks for the support!"

Starnes is also looking to bounce back from a loss -- the first of his professional career. He was pounded out by Yushin Okami via third round technical knockout at UFC 64 back in October 2006.
