UFC welterweight Forrest Petz (12-3) will fill-in for the injured Jeff Joslin (5-3) on April 5 at UFC Fight Night 9 against Kuniyoshi Hironaka (10-3), according to a Sherdog.com report.
Petz was supposed to fight Chris Lytle (22-14-5) at UFC Fight Night 8 in January, but was forced to withdraw because of an injury. His last fight was in October 2006 against Marcus Davis (10-3), which he lost via guillotine choke in round one.
According to the blurb, Hironaka looks forward to the fight against Petz, which will provide him with an opportunity to showcase his striking skills.
Joslin is the third fighter to be scratched from this card, which will be broadcast on SpikeTV from "The Pearl" in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Frank Mir and Anthony Torres also had to withdraw from their matches.
