Last week, we passed along news that UFC 70: "Nations Collide" would air for free on SpikeTV. That's primarily because Zuffa and HBO executives are currently at loggerheads on a deal and it's too late to get it on pay-per-view (PPV).
However, I like to think that it's Zuffa's way of saying "sorry" for the abortion that was UFC 67.
Anyway, we've been getting a lot of emails from fans and readers who want to know the logistics of the show (i.e. when will it air, will it be on tape delay, etc.), which will take place in Manchester, England, on April 21 at the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N.) Arena.
Well, NBCSports.com has confirmed that the event will be shown on tape-delay on April 21 beginning at 9 p.m. EST on SpikeTV.
Essentially, the fights will be over before we watch them here in the United States. And, rather than watching them at two o'clock in the afternoon, I'd say it's not that big of a deal.
What am I talking about — it's FREE. I'd watch it at 7 a.m. if it came down to it.
