Roger Huerta (16-1-1) will fight UFC newcomer Alvin Robinson (7-1) at UFC 69: "Shootout" in Houston, Texas, on April 7, according to Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com.
In his last fight at UFC 67, Huerta demolished another UFC debutant, John Halverson, in seconds. "El Matador" got a better workout in the locker room than he did inside the cage.
He's a high-energy, explosive fighter who the UFC seems high on. And, a fighter the UFC seems to feel the need to protect.
According to Sherdog.com, Robinson has primarily cut his teeth in the Colorado-based Ring of Fire promotion. "Kid" has ended most of his fights -- five of them -- via rear naked choke.
Chances are we will see this fight on the pay-per-view card after the main card is complete. Hopefully, Robinson comes ready to fight.
Huerta certainly will.
The match up between Huerta and Robinson rounds out the UFC 69 fight card.
