Travis Lutter looks like death warmed over

Travis Lutter UFC 67

At the UFC 67 weigh-ins yesterday, middleweight "contender" Travis Lutter looked like he was just released from a Soviet Gulag.

He was pale, emaciated, dehydrated, and more than likely, defeated.

Earlier this week we polled our readers with question, "Who will lose the fastest at UFC 67 this weekend?" Just about 1,000 of you voted -- a great turnout.

Thanks to everyone who participated.

Poor Eddie Sanchez -- who will face Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic this evening -- naturally took home the top prize with 54 percent of the vote.

Lutter was a distant second, snatching up 22 percent of your responses.

In hindsight, it looks like Lutter lost this fight before it even started.

At least Sanchez and the 16 other fighters on this seemingly not-so-competitive-looking card -- who are not fighting for titles mind you -- came to Las Vegas prepared.

Unfortunately, that's more than Lutter can say for himself.

I was not necesarily tuning in to see just the Anderson Silva-Travis Lutter showdown. The debuts of "Rampage" and "Cro Cop" were far more interesting.

But, now that the main event has been relegated to a three-round non-title fight, I can't help but feel cheated.

And if somehow, someway, Lutter wins tonight, UFC 67 could go down as the biggest disaster in recent UFC history.

That alone may be worth tuning in to see.
