UFC fighter Chris Price is fat.
The middleweight tipped the scales today at 192 pounds — seven pounds over the 185-pound limit — at the official weigh-ins for tomorrow's Ultimate Fight Night (UFN) 8 event in Hollywood, Florida.
Talk about not even being close.
His opponent Ed Herman — who weighed in at 186 pounds — has agreed to face Price despite the results, according to UFC.com.
Herman had this to say to Price:
"You weren't getting off that easy."
Fighters are allowed to weigh one pound more than the division limit. Anything more than that, however, and the fighter can be disqualified from the bout.
I can't remember the last time a fighter came in seven pounds too heavy — that has to be some kind of record.
Here are the complete official weigh-in results for Ultimate Fight Night 8:
Rashad Evans (205.5) vs. Sean Salmon (206)
Heath Herring (250) vs. Jake O'Brien (234.5)
Hermes Franca (155) vs. Spencer Fisher (154.5)
Dean Lister (185) vs. Nate Marquardt (185.5)

Clay Guida (154) vs. Din Thomas (154.5)
Ross Pointon (168.5) vs. Rich Clementi (169.5)
And what about Ross Pointon? The one-time light heavyweight (205 lbs.) came in a pound and a half lighter than the 170-pound welterweight limit.
