UFCmania odds and ends

I'm just trying to do a little housekeeping today — I was slammed with work all weekend long and didn't have time to update UFCmania as much as usual.

Then, on Sunday, an interview with one of the best middleweight fighters in the world, Nathan Marquardt, fell into my lap. He didn't have much time to talk, but I think it turned out well.

If you haven't already, check out the exclusive interview right here.

For the record, Nate is really down-to-Earth and reserved when it comes to his MMA success. He's been at it for a long time, and is still only 27. He is a nice guy, well spoken and humble, which puzzles me even more when it comes to his lack of exposure.

He doesn't seem to care, so I certainly shouldn't.

At any rate, I can't wait to see him beat up Dean Lister at UFC Fight Night 8 on January 25 and then move on to some of the bigger "names" in the division.

Speaking of UFC Fight Night 8, there is a good possibility we will be able to bring you some perspective from behind the scenes. I'm still working on some details so hang on and check back soon.
