I just want to give you an update on a story we've been following regarding plans for the UFC to start holding shows in Europe.
During a press conference, which included British media, the UFC announced that it has formed a UFC UK (United Kingdom) division, according to FightNews.com.
UFC President Dana White has made clear his intentions of setting up offices in England. According to the blurb, he now has Marshall Zelaznik — a former InDemand executive — spearheading the new offshoot.
Apparently, the UFC is also working with cable powerhouse HBO, which will begin showing UFC events this year for the first time, to eventually air the English shows on its network (at midnight).
Finally, UFC 70 is currently planned for England on April 21 -- not April 28 as earlier reported. For more details click here.
