UFC launches UFC 67 Web site

UFC 67
Even though it's not complete, the UFC recently launched its microsite for UFC 67: All or Nothing, which is scheduled for February 3 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The trailer is pretty much the only video currently on the site, which surprisingly has some PRIDE FC footage of Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

There were rumblings that the UFC was unable to attain said footage because of the stormy relationship with its Japanese counterpart. Thankfully, it looks as though some type of deal has been arranged.

It also appears as if we can expect some video of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, who will be making his UFC debut at SuperBowl weekend show against Marvin Eastman.

The features on Anderson Silva and Travis Lutter appear to be complete -- so that at least can keep you occupied until the site is finished.

I'm opposed to gadgety Web sites that are over the top with bells and whistles. However, I think this site pulls it off — even if it reminds me of the NFL on FOX with all the moving parts.

One final thing: If the UFC can build all these crazy Web sites for each pay per view event, why can't it invest a little scratch in UFC.com? At least hire someone to update it frequently.

Be sure and check the UFC 67 site over the course of the next few days for the latest updates.
