There's an interesting article today on CNNMoney.com that talks in depth about Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta and their journey to where they are today as the brains – and bucks – behind the UFC.
It also mentions that despite the rising popularity of the UFC, as well as its planned expansion into Europe and Latin America, there is still uncertainty as to its long-term stability.
Here's a snip:
" ... risks may be increasing again for the Fertittas. They remain heavily exposed to Las Vegas real estate, a market that, after years of wild growth, is finally showing signs of a potential collapse. Station's stock is under pressure. And though the UFC is on a roll, the sport is one ring death away from becoming a national pariah."
This is a good read, but is a bit on the long side.
