Chris "The Crippler" Leben will face Jorge Santiago in a middleweight bout during UFC Ultimate Fight Night on SpikeTV at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 17.
This fight was announced today in an article on UFC.com.
Leben will try and put the pieces back together after being dismantled by Anderson Silva just last month. For Santiago, it will be his first fight since a vicious first round knockout of Justin Levens.
Here's a snip:
'I don't really know a lot about him,' said Leben of Santiago. 'He sounds like a very tough guy from American Top Team. I'm just excited to get back in there and compete.'
"The Crippler" is no doubt on a mission to restore his reputation, which was handed to him by the Brazilian Silva. At least he doesn't have any expectations to live up to this time ... maybe that'll help.
Leben vs. Santiago will be on the event's under card, which boasts an exciting marquee match up between welterweights Diego Sanchez and Karo Parisyan.
