UFC Hall of Famer Randy "The Natural" Couture, Dean "The Boogeyman" Lister, Brandon "The Truth" Vera and Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove recently visited about 150 Marines at Camp Pendleton in Southern California.
Not surprisingly, a fight broke out.
The fighters weren't on hand for an exhibition, just a meet and greet with the soldiers, who clamored for pictures, handshakes and autographs.
Here's a snip from the article in the North County Times:
Pretty soon, however, they formed a circle and a few of them went head-to-head, with the fighters behind them, coaching them, yelling out tips.
It's good to see these guys proactively showing their support for our troops. Even better, it was their idea to show up and hang out with the guys and gals of our armed services. Randy Couture, in fact, will soon head to Iraq for a 10-day visit.
The story also talks about the surging popularity of the UFC and some personal stories from the fighters themselves.
