According to a recent press release from SpikeTV, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 Finale was the most watched Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event ever.
In fact, more than 2.8 million viewers tuned in to watch the three-hour, action-packed program.
Here's a snip from UFC President Dana White:
We have reached the point when guys across the country say – 'Did you catch the fight last night?' – and they are referring to a UFC fight.
Viewership peaked to 3.4 million during the epic middleweight war between Kendall Grove and Ed Herman. According to the numbers, the finale easily outdrew NASCAR's Dodge/Save Mart 350 on FX, which was in the same timeslot.
The UFC a bigger draw than NASCAR – Who'd a thunk it?
