Stephan Bonnar – who skyrocketed to instant UFC bad ass status thanks to his epic war with Forrest Griffin in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one finale – is getting ready to face undefeated Rashad Evans this Wednesday at Ultimate Fight Night.
The light heavyweight bout will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It is a non Pay Per View (PPV) event, which means you can check it out for free on SpikeTV at 8:00 p.m.
Other match ups include:
--Chris Leben vs. Anderson Silva
--Jonathan Goulet vs. Luke Cummo
--Branden Lee Hinkle vs. Jason Lambert
--Josh Koscheck vs. Dave Menne
--Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves
The Northwest Indiana News sat down with Forrest over the weekend and quizzed him about his road to the UFC and his remarkable success. Here's a snip:
Yeah, I'm sure there will be a rematch [Forrest Griffin], but I'm sure they're just waiting for the right time. I thought it would be this fight – that's what (UFC president Dana White) said, that if (Griffin) lost to Tito (Ortiz at UFC 59), that we'd fight again. But he must've changed his mind somewhere along the line and picked a different opponent for me to fight.
If Stephan beats Rashad on Wednesday, there will never be a better time for Bonnar-Griffin II.
