Nick Diaz spotted at UFC 158 press conference

Well, that's one hurdle, anyway. Only Nick Diaz can make the UFC attendance policy front page news. Now to keep him and Georges St. Pierre from going at it during the staredowns. Stay tuned!

Video: UFC 158's Nick Diaz at airport for trip to Montreal, enjoying the live piano music. Figured this was as good a sign as any that the No. 1 welterweight contender will be in the Bell Centre on March 16, 2013, to fight division champion Georges St. Pierre. Was there ever any doubt? :)

UFC heavyweight and coach of this upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Roy Nelson just tweeted a photo of himself after a swim practice with Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz and Gilbert Melendez. Says Nelson, "Now I'm ready for my first triathlon." If there was any doubt that the Cesar Gracie team would be participating with Nelson to help coach this upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, I think this picture puts that to rest. By the way, judging from the photo, how crazy is it that the Diaz brothers fight in different weight classes?

Keeping it real. Nick Diaz has big brass balls that clink when he walks.

One think I respect about Nick Diaz is his courage. He is courageous and there's no doubt about it. Here's why I think so. Courage is not about being fearless, we all know that, it's...

Pic: Nate Diaz "finally" awarded Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt from Cesar Gracie today, according to Jake Shields (R). His brother Nick Diaz (L) also makes it into the photo. Diaz will next get the opportunity to put his superior grappling skills to the test when he takes on Jim Miller in the UFC on FX 3 main event, which is set for the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J., on May 5, 2012.

The Real Nick Diaz via Vancouverjason1 The way Nick's eyes beam up when he notices the reporters black eye is brilliant. The 209'er instantly feeling taken back to his natural habitat laden with nunchucks, street fights and any other gangster stereotypes that you can dare conjure. I really like this side of Nick, he seems kind yet removed. I don't know about you guys but I'd also be feeling as awkward as a man with a shoulder bag. All of that media equipment and people staring at you must become a bit too much to handle. "What happened to your eye? Did you get socked?" This left me dying of laughter. -tkotom

Carlos Condit Pre UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit Interview with MMA2DAY Show February 2, 2012Penny Buffington - PennyJoMMA MMA2DAY Show Interview with Carlos Condit. UFC 143: Interim Welterweight Championship bout: Nick Diaz vs. Carlos Condit Saturday, February 4, Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada live on pay-per-view. Some Highlights from the Interview: “Either your going to kick my ass or I am going to kick your ass.” “He is well rounded so to have a one dimensional game plan would be a mistake. He has got great Jui Jitsu so taking him down is dangerous, great stand-up, so keeping the fight standing is dangerous.” “You have to promote the fight, you have to promote yourself. You have to look at this as a business. This is a job. This is what pays the bills so you have got to do what you have got to do to promote yourself. “On the other hand: I am not going to compromise myself and try to be something I am not just to sell fights.” Concerning GSP: “You know he is pretty secure as far as his career, as far as his legacy and financially I would imagine. But other fighters they are really living fight to fight, you know, that’s what’s paying the bills. So, sometimes you have got to overlook an injury and put it in the back of your mind and hope that it doesn’t become a bigger problem.” “It’s a tough way to make a living whether you are kind of on the bottom of the pay scale or toward the middle or even on the high end. As the sport grows I think the pay is going to grow.” “It’s tough. There’s a lot of guys who have talent and allot of potential but stuff happens they get injured. Can’t do a fight; you cant pay the bills, and end up doing something else, and having to kind of give up on their dream. You know for everyone successful in the UFC their is probably 20 or 30 guys that get washed out and wasn’t able to do what they wanted with their lives as far as pursuing a career in MMA.”
