Josh Barnett broken hand x-ray pic from Daniel Cormier fight at last night's (Sat., May 19, 2012) Strikeforce event in San Jose, California. "The WarMaster" tweeted the photo saying, "Here's what happened in the first :30...still threw it though. Of course that might not have so wise LOL." Indeed. (Pic) Daniel Cormier shows off his mangled hand at the UFC Fan Expo in Houston today (Oct. 7). "DC" suffered the injury during his knockout victory over Antonio Silva in the semifinals of the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix back on Sept. 10. He's expected to meet Josh Barnett in the finals sometime early next year. Our very own Sergio Hernandez is live and on the scene at the UFC Fan Expo so remember to stay tuned to MMAmania.com for extensive coverage from Texas.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett and company president Dana White together again (Pic). "The Baby-faced Assassin" remarks that "pigs have now flown" and that we should "look for hell to freeze over next." White has said numerous times that Barnett would never again compete inside the Octagon for flunking several tests for banned substances throughout his career and not showing any remorse. Water under the bridge, boys?
Josh Barnett officially withdrew his license application with the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) and because of that, the CSAC cannot suspend him, according to ESPN's Josh Gross. Georgia, Texas and Tennessee are reportedly the likeliest locations for him to fight in the U.S. although the rumor is that the April 9 Strikeforce card that "The Baby Faced Assassin" is fighting Brett Rogers on, will take place in Japan.
