Pic: Jon Fitch to World Series of Fighting (WSOF) a "done deal?" Ray Sefo recently tweeted that it was after Bellator expressed disinterest; however, the claim can't be considered a "done deal" on social face value alone. Lots of moving parts will need to fall into place before anything could be considered official. Stay tuned. For more on the Fitch UFC release click here.

Matt Hume, Mark Munoz, Jake Shields, Mike Dolce, Krzysztof Soszynski, Dr. Ryan Parsons, Jon Fitch, Javier Mendez and Justin McCully share their thoughts on UFC 141's heavyweight main event between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem.
Jon Fitch, who injured his shoulder and has been out of action since his Feb. 27 draw with B.J. Penn, has been cleared to fight again, as he explained on Twitter. "I'm back! Dr. Kavitne gave me the ok to fight." Fitch has repeatedly stated his desire to appear on the UFC 139 fight card coming to his backyard in San Jose on Nov. 19. But he also said he only wants to fight current or former champions. You Maniacs care to find an opponent for him? Anyone that fits the bill?
Jon Fitch wants to return at UFC 138 on Nov. 19 in San Jose. He tweeted today: "I feel amazing. See the doc on tue. I would love to fight my friend and legend @bjpenndotcom in San Jose in nov. I hope I'm healthy by then." Fitch, of course, trains at American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), which is conveniently located right there in San Jose. Jon Fitch says Nick Diaz is a 'paper champ,' making a rumored fight with Georges St. Pierre at UFC 140 later this year in Montreal perhaps not all that meaningful. Diaz defeated Marius Zaromskis to win the vacant 170-pound Strikeforce title in Dec. 2009. He's won four consecutive fights since that time. Fitch -- a former number one welterweight contender -- is currently on the mend from extensive shoulder surgery. Does he make a good point or is medication affecting his brain?
Jon Fitch, who was forced to pull out of his scheduled UFC 132 fight against B.J. Penn, will need surgery to repair his injured shoulder. The perennial welterweight contender announced the news on his Twitter: "Looks like I will be getting shoulder surgery next week. Not the news I was looking for." No timetable has been announced for his return but Fitch says he will be out for at least four to six months.
Kenny Florian says at UFC 126, Jon Fitch told him he was walking around at 176lbs.
