Dr. Kavitne gave me the ok to fight." Fitch has repeatedly stated his desire to appear on the UFC 139 fight card coming to his backyard in San Jose on Nov. 19. Jon Fitch, who was forced to pull out of his scheduled UFC 132 fight against B.J. Penn, will need surgery to repair his injured shoulder. The perennial welterweight contender announced the news on his Twitter: "Looks like I will be getting shoulder surgery next week. Not the news I was looking for." No timetable has been announced for his return but Fitch says he will be out for at least four to six months.
