Jake Shields Breaks down the UFC Middleweight Championship bout between long time title holder Anderson Silva and top contender Chris Weidman
Pic: Anderson Silva visits Fabio Maldonado in the hospital after UFC 153, offering a little humorous bedside manner after his Brazilian buddy took a beating at the heavy hands and savage elbows of Glover Teixeira. Both are probably happy this visit didn't take place in a morgue. Props: MiddleEasy.com.
If a picture says 1000 words, multiply this by another 1000. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is an extremely important part of Team Nogueira in Brazil. His team had seven fighters competing at UFC 153 in Rio last weekend (Oct. 13, 2012) and all of them as well as the coaches were jubilant and highly emotional following "Big Nog's" second round armbar submission victory over Dave Herman. Watching Anderson Silva break down just goes to show how important Nogueira is to him. What do you think about this little peek inside the world of the Brazilians, Maniacs?
Silva-Sonnen staredowns are the best
Pic: UFC 148's Chael Sonnen is raffling off a signed t-shirt prior to his fight with Anderson Silva in Las Vegas through his Mean Street Pizza shop in West Linn, Oregon. He's certainly not endearing himself (again) to those who hail from Brazil with the catchphrase, "A Brazilian is something a stripper gets," but then again, who cares if he doesn't. It's time to put up or shut up.
Is Anderson Silva The Greatest Fighter Ever?
No one ever said that Chael Sonnen wasn't confident. Just take a look at his own version of the UFC 148 promotional poster taken from his Twitter background complete with the "Gangsta from West Lynn, Oregon" front and center, and with the UFC middleweight title no less. Sonnen will be challenging the long reigning and pound-for-pound king Anderson Silva in the main event this Saturday night (July 7, 2012) in one of the biggest rematches of all time. Do you think this type of promotion could be getting in the head of "The Spider?"
