Xbox reveal: New UFC video game news expected following unveiling of next-gen system from Microsoft

Today (May 21, 2013) is a big day for gamers.

Microsoft is expected to unveil its next generation video game console, known around the water cooler as the "Xbox 720," at a special gathering titled "A New Generation Revealed," from the Xbox campus in Redmond, Washington.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans may want to take note, according to Joystiq, as the company is expected to touch on the status of the latest Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) video game, developed by EA Sports. While gamers are unlikely to see their favorite fighters on the Xbox in 2013, it will be interesting to see what's in store for the latest and greatest console.

It's been far too long.

UFC's "Undisputed" video games were previously housed under the THQ banner; however, the dissolution of the former video game giant left the world's top MMA brand up for grabs and EA saw an opportunity to strike while the iron was hot.

Now it's a question of not if, but when.

That is a phrase that nobody in their right mind expects Bruce Buffer to bellow this Saturday night(Sunday morning for some). And why would anyone think that given the way thier first encounter went down? Bigfoot is a huge underdog, & rightfully so.

But I was thinking, wut if Bigfoot doesnt throw a leg kick to start the fight? His tdd is pretty damn good, maybe good enough to stuff 1 td & land a devasting right hand. Cain doenst have a weak chin by any means, but we've seen him rocked by Kongo & a clipping punch like JDS landed on him is ALWAYS possible.

If Bigfoot were to actually pull off this upset, the UFC's heavyweight division would be in a state of complete disarray. Bigfoot's first title defense could be 1 of 3, maybe 4 legitimately sensible options:

-Bigfoot vs Daniel Cormier 2

-Bigfoot vs JDS/Hunt winner

-Bigfoot vs Cain 3

-Bigfoot vs Werdum 2 *(IF Werdum beats Nog)

I personally Believe Cormier would deserve the shot, after the way he destroyed Bigfoot their first fight, as well as what he has accomplished since that time in beating up Josh Barnett & Frank Mir. What do they do with Cain, JDS/Hunt winner & Loser, Nelson, Reem, Mir, Browne??? Does Barnett get signed? Does Werdum even beat Nog? If DC gets the shot at the title & wins it, what in the hell does Cain do? Struve & Duffee arent contenders but I think they are fringe top 10 guys that could fight a Nog or Hunt.

That leaves Cain, Werdum, JDS/Hunt winner, Reem, Mir, Nelson, Browne, JDS/Hunt loser, Nog would all have to be booked on some fashion. Maybe do Cain/Werdum & JDS/Hunt winner vs Nelson? Most impressive winner gets the #1 contenders spot, like how Shogun/Vera, Machida/Bader was on FOX 4.

The possibilities would be more limitless than Francis Carmont at that point. Just the type of chaos that I cannot help but root for on Saturday night when I celebrate my 25th Birthday.

Truck driver beaten unconscious by California Highway Patrol

A 58 year old truck driver was left like this by California Highway Patrol for refusing to sign a ticket(which is his right. In California, only those actively under arrest must sign the ticket or the agreement to appear in court).

Medical records also show that he apparently stopped breathing while lying out on the highway and had to be rushed to Auburn Faith Hospital. But Kozacenko's injuries were too severe for that hospital's emergency room and he had to be transported to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

Olegs is currently seeking a civil suit against the officers, but both officers are still on duty and have not been reprimanded in the slightest. Keep in mind this happened in 2011, and still nothing has been done.

Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode 8-Second Sons

We start off this week with Arya awaking in the wilderness. She slowly picks up a large rock and walks over to where The Hound is still sleeping. Or so we think. The Hound is indeed awake, and tells Arya he'll give her one chance to kill him, but if she fails he'll break both her hands. She doesn't take the bait, and the two move on. The Hound tries to convince her that she's lucky he found her, because she now has protection. He tells her about how he offered to take Sansa with him when he left King's Landing, but she doesn't believe him. They reach the Red Fork, and Arya asks if it's the Blackwater. The Hound reveals that he's not taking her back to the Lannisters, but to her mother at the Twins. Not because he's a nice person, but because he wants the ransom.

Across the Narrow Sea, Danaerys and her two advisors watch as a mercenary company arrives at Yunkai. Jorah recognizes them as the Second Sons, led by Mero, "The Titan's Bastard". Barristan counts them at 2,000 men, armored and mounted. Dany suggests persuaded the mercs to switch sides. The three commanders of the company, captains Mero and Prendahl na Ghezn and lieutenant Daario Naharis. Mero, cocky as he is, shows no respect for Danaerys or her army, saying they'll all be slaves soon. Dany offers more gold than what the Yunkai paid them, but Ghezn says they can't break their contract or they'll never be hired again. Dany then tells them they will never need another contract, as they'll have gold, land and anything else they want after she takes back Westeros. She gives them two days to decide. After the three leave, Dany tells Barristan to kill Mero first should it come to battle. He gladly agrees. Back at the Second Sons' camp, Mero isn't worried, saying Danaerys will be choking on his cock soon. Naharis reminds him of the 8,000 Unsullied that stand between them, but he is still unworried. He says they will merely send one of them to her camp in the night and kill her before anything starts. They basically draw straws, and Naharis is chosen as the one to do the deed. Later, Danaerys is bathing and discussing languages with Missandei. A man in Unsullied garb enters and holds Missandei at knifepoint, saying he'll kill her if Danaerys screams. He releases her and is revealed to be Naharis. However, he explains he is not here to kill Danaerys, and presents her with the heads of Mero and Ghezn. He says he killed them because he was opposed to the whole assassination plan. Dany orders him to swear to her, which he does.

Back at Dragonstone, Melisandre has arrived with Gendry. Gendry is sent to his room, and Melisandre promises to talk to him soon. After he has left, Stannis tells her that if she means to sacrifice him to do it and not waste time pampering him. She counters, saying if the lamb sees the knife right away, it will panic and become tainted. In his cell, Davos is practicing reading, but is clearly struggling in his attempts. As Stannis approaches he hides his book and greets his king. It appears that Stannis regrets having to imprison Davos. He tells Davos of Gendry and that Melisandre plans to sacrifice him. Davos is turned off by this, reminding him that Gendry is his nephew. Stannis asks why he didn't complain when Renly was assassinated. Davos explains that Renly wronged him by declaring himself king, while Gendry has done nothing. Stannis says he is only doing it to save the realm, as it is his duty and only a bastard boy. He then frees Davos, on the condition that he never threaten Melisandre again. He agrees, but says he can't promise to never speak against her. He says Stannis came to him today because he values Davos' counsel of restraint, something Melisandre doesn't do. He also says he doesn't believe in any gods. Stannis reveals what he saw in the flames at the end of last season: a great battle in the snow. That vision is what caused Stannis to believe. Later, Melisandre returns to Gendry in his lavish room. The two breifly discuss Gendry's life in the slums of Flea Bottom before Melisandre offers him wine. She proves it's not poisoned by drinking it herself, but we all know how that turned out last time. For now, at least, Gendry seems to be safe. He is still in disbelief that he could be anything special, as he considers his existance no more than a mistake. Melisandre says that he exists because the Lord of Light willed it. She seduces him, and in the process straps him to the bed. She places leeches on his chest in order to bleed him while he freaks out. Stannis enters just as she is removing the leeches. She brings him the full leeches, and he throws them into the fire while saying three names: Robb Stark, Balon Greyjoy and Joffrey Baratheon.

In King's Landing, it is the day of Tyrion and Sansa's marriage. In Sansa's room, Tyrion and her have a moment alone to talk. Tyrion makes it clear that he isn't doing this out of spite, and tries to find the silver lining by telling her that she will no longer be a prisoner after today. He then jokingly remarks that marriage to him may be a different kind of prison. He promises to never hurt her as the two leave for the ceremony. In the Great Sept of Baelor, Margaery and Cersei and playing a game of words with each other. Margaery is clearly kissing Cersei's ass, while Cersei appears to be annoyed by her presence. She tells Margaery how the song "The Rains of Castamere" came to be. House Reyne rose up in rebellion against Casterly Rock. Tywin, then heir to his father Tytos, took it upon himself to end the rebellion and obliterated House Reyne. The story is a not-too-cleverly-disguised threat followed by an outright threat. Cersei tells Margaery she will have her killed if she ever calls her sister again. At this time, Sansa enters and is joined by Joffrey. When she asks what he's doing, he tells her he is giving her away in place of her father. Dick. He walks her to the dais where Tyrion is waiting. Joffrey takes Tyrion's stool, which earns him a second insult. Dick. This causes Tyrion to struggle with putting the cloak on Sansa, and she must kneel to allow him to do so. During the reception, Olenna is going over the complicated family tree that will form after the various weddings have taken place. Loras leaves, clearly unhappy. Sansa excuses herself, and Joffrey follows her while Cersei also wanders off. Joffrey catches up to Sansa and taunts her about her fate of having a Lannister baby, and even hints at planting his own seed in her. Tywin comes up to Tyrion and urges him to make a baby with Sansa as soon as possible. He's not happy that Tyrion is drunk, as it could affect his performance. When Joffrey calls for the bedding ceremony, Tyrion bluntly refuses. Joffrey ignores him, causing Tyrion to snap and threaten to cut his genitals off. Joffrey is pissed that he just got insulted in front of everyone, causing Tywin to defuse the situation by agreeing with Tyrion about the bedding ceremony. Tyrion plays it off as a joke and takes Sansa back to their room, all the while showing just how drunk he really is. He pours himself another drink and appears ready to consummate the marriage. As Sansa undresses, he has a change of heart and says he won't share her bed until she wants him to, even if that time never comes. The next morning, Shae awakens Tyrion and Sansa with breakfast. She notices that there are no bloodstains on the sheets.

Beyond the Wall, Sam and Gilly find shelter in an abandoned shack. They decide to stay there for the night. As Sam struggles to make a fire, Gilly suggests sharing furs to keep warm. After some awkward conversation, Gilly goes ahead and builds the fire herself. They then discuss names for Gilly's baby, when they hear the cawing of crows outside. Sam goes to investigate. I's like a scene from The Birds outside, with crows lining the branches of the weirwood. Suddenly, the crows become silent as a White Walker approaches. Sam musters up some courage, but the undead creature shatters his sword blade. The Walker throws him aside and advances on Gilly. Sam grabs one of his dragonglass daggers and stabs the Walker in the back. The creature turns to ice and shatters on the ground as Sam and Gilly escape into the night.

Another solid episode this week. Seemed to be focused on a smaller number of characters, which I actually enjoyed. Drunk Tyrion is even more awesome than sober Tyrion. I'm glad we finally got to see Sam kill his White Walker, which was supposed to happen way back in like the first two episodes. On a low note, I just found out that we have to wait TWO WEEKS for the next episode because of Memorial Day. Lame. Any ideas for a placeholder Game of Thrones-related post for next week?

In two weeks: Jon faces a dilemma, Bran looks to be trapped, Danaerys attacks, Arya and the Hound are getting along swimmingly and we get another wedding.

Bunch of Brazilians: the report cards

Hidey ho, how are all you cigarettes doing on this fine Sunday morn? No doubt Vitor is getting a little injection of his favourite Christian vampire... and that's not a euphemism for testosterone, but it sure could be. No, it looks like the power of Christ compelled him to win again last night. Well, that, and a few needles to the arm didn't hurt, eh? What?

Sure, Vitor is a 36-year-old man fighting in a 19-year-old man's body, but let's not lose focus of the real issue here. Smoking marijuana is for the devil, kids. If you smoke that shit you're going to turn into a degenerate cheater like Pat Healy, and take well-deserved fight bonuses away from bundles of sticks like Bryan Caraway. I hope you've all learned a very valuable lesson here, or three:

1. The power of Christ compels you. That dude is picking favourites and if you think he isn't then explain how the Leafs blew a 3-goal lead in game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. I didn't fucking think so.

2. The power of juicing compels you more. Why be 36 when you can be 19? It's a pretty fucking clear choice here and one I think can all agree is necessary. After all, they call it "testosterone replacement therapy." It's got the word therapy in it and therapy is good.

3. If you smoke marijuana you're literally in league with the devil. Even one nanogram of metabolized Tetrahydrocannabinol is enough to give you an unfair advantage over other fighters. And the last thing anybody wants is an unfair advantage in this sport, which as pure as the driven snow in Mexico.

Card's report card: I'm not trying to be a dick (because that shit comes naturally) but I wasn't wowed. This was a bunch of Brazilian guys beating up mismatches on a card aimed at penetrating deeper into the Brazilian market. The UFC is nothing if not ravenously greedy. I mean, the only real name in contention here was Vitor Belfort. B-

My predictions: 9 for 13. Apparently a 69% winning percentage aint shit with big swinging dicks in the money pool, but I was satisfied. After all, the only fights I really got wrong were based on the flawed judging of MMA and needle boy in the main event.

Fight of the Night: Lucas Martins and Jeremy Larsen
Knockout of the Night: I guess you got to give it to Vitor Belfort, which I understand he's going to donate to the Brazilian National Association for Dirty Fucking Cheaters
Submission of the Night: Francisco Trinaldo
Biggest Upset: Again, I guess Cockhold losing in 2 minutes was a surprise
Worst judge's decision: All of them. MMA judging is brutal.
Most boring fight: Flabby-o Maldonado versus Roger Hollett
Beatdown of the night: Nobody

Lightweight [155]: Lucas Martins (B) versus Jeremy Larsen (B-)
Prediction: Martins via TKO2
Result: Martins via TKO3

This fight deserved the bonus that the UFC handed out as it was every bit the stereotypical bangfest people love to see. Although that probably had more to do with the fact that Lucas Martins kept getting tagged as he waded in to battle Larsen. At one point it looked like Martins had been decapitated but somehow kept his head attached and continued to fight.

Martins has one hell of chin because he got hit with some bricks and wouldn't go down. He was on the stanky leg a few times but I don't think I've seen many fighters able to recover so quickly from being rocked. I mean, there's Matt Grice and now this guy. Mario Yamasaki seemed like he wanted to step in several times but Martins' eyes always cleared up and he kept going.

Larsen outperformed his reputation because he seemed to be winning the fight heading into the third. But then he basically ran forward to attack and met a counterpunch that knocked him out. Fortunately Mario Yamasaki was there to finish Larsen off with a beautiful kick to the back of his head.

Winner: After getting smashed by Edson Barboza and then surpassing Larsen we have a pretty good idea where Martins fits. He's on a level with a Jon Tuck or a Renee Forte or some other TUF graduate.

Flyweight [125]: Jussier Formiga (C) versus Chris Cariaso (D)
Prediction: Cariaso via UD
Result: Formiga via UD

The only thing that makes midgets weighing 125 pounds watchable is that they're supposed to bang, bro. I mean, my fucking 11-year-old is 112 pounds and he's not even pudgy. If you can't lift a 125-pound object off you, then you may as well become Fallon Fox.

Jussier Formiga showed off his "world class" lay and pray last night, hugging Cariaso for the first two rounds. Under the unified rules of this stupid sport, guys who lay on other guys for two rounds is far more important than the round in which the other guy gets his stupid ugly face smashed in.

But although the judging in MMA is stupid and doesn't make sense, Cariaso did himself no favours by allowing a 125-pound man to lie between his legs for the first 10 minutes. I think this is the first Fitching I've ever seen at such a light weight class. As for Cariaso, I don't understand how a dude who was 13-3 can drop a weight class and get worse.

Winner: It's obvious, innit? John Lineker, one fight up.

Flyweight [125]: John Lineker (A) versus Azamat Gashimov (C)
Prediction: Lineker via UD
Result: Lineker via TKO2

Now this is what the Flyweight division is supposed to be. Fast and furious fights with mad scrambles and punches you can barely see. Lineker, unlike Cariaso, has looked great since dropping 10 pounds and going 2-0 at this weight class. He has some of the best boxing in the division outside of Joseph Benavidez, John Dodson, and Demetrious Johnson.

There's not much you can say about Gashimov except that he managed to survive several knockdowns before Yamasaki finally jumped in. Given the depth of the 125 pool being about as shallow as Dana White's soul, he'll probably stick around for one more fight.

Winner: Jussier Formiga

Light Heavyweight [205]: Fabio Maldonado (B-) versus Roger Hollett (D)
Prediction: Maldonado via UD
Result: Maldonado via UD

This went pretty much exactly as I thought it would. Hollett took Flabby-oh down in the first round, gassing himself out in the process. Flabby worked the body in the second round, taking the spirit out of Roger as well as his wind. Then Flabby worked him over in the third and made him quit. If Maldonado had an ounce of cardio he could have pushed for a finish.

The frustrating thing about Maldonado is that he all the tools to be a good journeyman in the UFC, but he doesn't want to push himself. He has a granite chin, crisp boxing, and an iron will. But he's also slow as fuck and has the urgency of a three-toed sloth. When Hollett was clinching with him, Maldonado looked exasperated and held his arms up in the air like, WTF do I do?

YOU KNOCK HIM OUT, FUCKTARD. You take Roger by the scruff of the neck, turn him against the cage, and beat the unholy piss out of him. You don't stop until his face is a bloody hole and the referee is pulling you off. That's how you stop that situation in particular.

Winner: I feel like Flabby-oh could work hard and get down to 185 pounds where his power and size would be an advantage. But he doesn't seem to want it bad enough. He'd rather get beat up by bigger guys at 205, which is probably shortening both his career and his life. So, barring a drop to 185 where he belongs, I don't know who to recommend. I feel like most guys above Roger Hollett will hurt him badly.

Bantamweight [135]: Yuri Alcantara (A) versus Iliarde Santos (C-)
Prediction: Alcantara via TKO3
Result: Alcantara via TKO1

This fight was a bit quick and difficult to remember. It seems like Santos was out of his depth, like a lot of guys who were thrown to the wolves last night, and didn't last long. I do remember thinking the ref jumped in faster than a mother hearing her baby sneeze. But that's the modern UFC. Two unanswered shots equals stoppage.

It's nice to see "Al Contra" get back into his winning ways after some serious bullshit against Pedro Nobre and being dominated on the ground by Hacran Dias. But although Alcantara has won his last two fights convincingly, he's also beaten up two nobodies. This is a far cry from his KO of Ricardo Lamas way back at WEC 53.

Winner: He could face Takeya Mizugaki, who is a good top 10 gatekeeper.That would be the biggest test as to whether dropping to 135 was a good idea.

Welterweight [170]: Paulo Thiago (D) versus Michel Prazeres (B+)
Prediction: Prezeres via UD
Result: Thiago via UD

Thiago may have won, but who the fuck did he beat? An upjumped lightweight who arguably handled Thiago all night and landed the bigger and more important shots. Getting into the win column again is nice but having this much trouble against a guy without a Wikipedia page is a big problem.

Prazeres is a strong little bastard and muscled around Thiago for much of the first round. But by the second and third rounds it was clear he wasn't going to be able to take Thiago down and win some points there. In fact, Prazeres is one of those weird muscly Brazilians who fights more like a wrestler than a Jiu-Jitsu guy. Despite having the opportunity to take back control several times he just waited out the position, sometimes getting reversed in the process.

If I'm a decision-maker at Zuffa right now, I'd encourage Prazeres to drop down to his natural weight class and enjoy some success. I'd also encourage Thiago to keep his day job because he's not beating anyone else at 170 pounds.

Winner: I'd say he's at TUF alumni level right now. Give him a Court McGee or a Justin Edwards. Actually, a really intriguing fight would be Patrick Cote. Battle of the irrelevants.

Lightweight [155]: Gleison Tibau (B+) versus John Cholish (D)
Prediction: Tibau via UD
Result: Tibau via SUB2

Tibau is one of those weird muscly Brazilians who actually has some sick Jits. He showed that last night by choking out John Cholish after rocking him with a big left hand. Tibau is a lot to handle for most guys at 155 because he's freakishly large, freakishly strong and doesn't seem to get tired for a man who cuts down from somewhere north of 185.

I heard Cholish retired from MMA after the fight, which is probably a good idea. This was another mismatch on the card, handing him a gatekeeper like Tibau after dropping a fight to a mediocre fighter like Danny Castillo. Just another win to keep the Brazilian bozos in the crowd happy.

Winner: Where does the gatekeeper sit right now? Hard to say. Perhaps it's less relevant to find out where he ranks and better to keep feeding him guys trying to crack the top 10-15. Guys like Ross Pearson.

Lightweight [155]: Francisco Trinaldo (A) versus Mike Rio (C-)
Prediction: Trinaldo via TKO1
Result: Trinaldo via SUB1

Souza, please. Trinaldo's submission was the real SOTN, choking out Mike Rio from the half guard ON THE WRONG SIDE. Despite competing at 185 pounds in TUF Brazil, Trinaldo overcame a rocky return to 155 against Gleison Tibau with back-to-back arm-triangle submission wins.

Trinaldo is one of the most dangerous fighters at 155 to come out of Brazil. He's incredibly strong, as demonstrated in his close fight against Tibau, has power on the feet, and quick submissions. There is much to be said about his chances at this weight class. But he does need a better opponent next.

As for Mike Rio, I can't be too hard on the kid. He's beaten nobody of significance in his entire career, losing to Efrain Escudero (who isn't even in the UFC), and barely squeaked by his own TUF graduate John Cofer. If anything, he did better against Trinaldo than I expected.

Winner: I'm not sure where to rank Trinaldo, but frankly I think Anthony Njokuani would be fun to see. I'd also settle for Myles Jury.

Featherweight [145]: Nik Lentz (B) versus Hacran Dias (C+)
Prediction: Dias via UD
Result: Lentz via UD

If Nik Lentz won, it was by the breadth of a single genital hair. This fight was as close as it gets in MMA. The first round could have gone either way. Personally, I would have called it a 10-10 round. The second round was clearly Lentz, as he layed and prayed his way to advantage. But Dias took it to Lentz in the third and clearly won the round. 29-28 Lentz? 29-28 Dias? Or 29-29?

Either way, you'd have to have serious brain damage to think this loss means anything to Hacran Dias, who remains one of the best prospects at 145. As for Nik Lentz, his smothering style is effective, until he meets somebody who has a better one. Chad Mendes and Clay Guida would be a huge challenge.

Winner: I think I just said it above.

Middleweight [185]: Rafael Natal (B-) versus Joao Zeferino (C)
Prediction: Natal via TKO1
Result: Natal via UD

Don't bring Jiu-Jitsu cardio to an MMA fight. That's basically the takeaway from this fight. It's clear that Zeferino is a powerful grappler, able to toss around Natal like a small child in the first. But after gassing out quickly, Natal took over in the second and third, and handed him a beating that could easily have been stopped late.

Can I just say something for a second? How does Jon Anik and Kenny Florian get "SOPPO" from "Sapao"? Could they butcher the Portuguese language any worse than they did last night? It's like calling the city Paris as "PAIR-ASS" or Moscow as "MOOSE-COW." Sounds moronic.

Anyway, just because Zeferino beat Natal in a grappling match doesn't mean it's going to help him in an MMA match. The Brazilian Samurai might want to get on a treadmill more often.

Winner: I'd enjoy seeing him grind it out against the Filthy One.

Lightweight [155]: Evan Dunham (B) versus Rafael dos Anjos (B-)

Was this a robbery? Meh, not really. I sort of thought Dunham won two rounds, but then again I wasn't paying too much attention. It wasn't a great fight, that's for sure. But to quote Dana "Fucking" White: "Never leave it in the hands of the incompetent, retarded, untrained, useless, pea-brained judges."

In situations like this, it's sometimes helpful to use FightMetric, which backs up the fact it was a razor thin match.

If anything, this kind of shows the judges got it right. A first round for RDA, a tossup in the second, and a strong finish for Dunham. It's certainly not Leonard Garcia over here.

Winner: RDA didn't look too hot against a guy who's probably not even close to the top 10. They could throw him against another dude who didn't really win his last fight either, in Diego Sanchez.

Middleweight [185]: Ronaldo Souza (A) versus Chris Camozzi (D)

Another mismatch. Not that I think Costa Philippou would have done any better. Ronaldo Souza is arguably one of the top 185ers in the world and fighting Chris Camozzi, an upjumped TUF scrub, wasn't exactly a test.

There are a ton of guys at this weight class who won't be able to get up once they go to the ground with Souza. Only a freakishly strong, like Luke Rockhold, really have a chance. Ironically, you've got to think Souza has done better than Rockhold in entering the UFC. Rockhold just got knocked to the back of the line, while Souza can swoop in after Vitor gets knocked out by Anderson Silva again.

Winner: I know Hector Lombard "lost" to Yushin Okami (I guess, but whatever), but I'd love to see him bang with Souza.

I don't really know what the fuck Rockgold was doing out there. I guess he was pulling a Michael Bisping. Standing there in fear and awe of Vitor, hoping not to get knocked out. Which is what happened. Rockhold should have been clinching with Vitor from the get-go, and not stopping until he got him down. Jesus fuck, even fat lardass Anthony Johnson did better.

This is a huge fall from grace for Luke Rockhold, who was seen as a legitimate contender at 185. Now, he's been dropped from contention, and his future is in serious doubt. The only good news is that perhaps he'll come back down to earth after talking a lot of bullshit from over in Strikeforce.

As for Belfort, I guess he's fighting Silva again, if the champ doesn't retire first. But this successful resurgence of his career really throws into question the whole ethics of cheating and testosterone. I mean, the reason a 36-year-old doesn't have the testosterone levels of a 22-year-old is because he's not a 22-year-old. Pretty fucking simple, innit?

Winner: I say Vitor's next fight should be with his conscience.

WOW! Vitor Belfort is on a tear, ladies and gentlemen, knocking out contenders left and right. 35 people and I, in the camp, believed Luke would have more on his arsenal and will be able to handle the pressure of the TRT-fueled arms and kicks of the Phenom, but alas, Vitor has shown that at 36 years old, there's still a lot of highlight reel KOs left of him. If anything, he made a statement on who is getting the title shot after Silva-Weidman, even to the expense of pabloXL showing his thongs on twitter-verse. Jacare also made short work of overmatched Camozzi and announced another contender in the suddenly exciting MW division.

In our own money pool, dlocc nailed it with a nail-biting 1-point, 2-fight victory clincher over yours truly and rock band bassist and Detroit Drew protege Jido7. It came down to 1-fight with me: Vitor and Luke, TRT wins, dlocc wins, Luke wins, I win. For Jido, Cariaso wins, he wins, JuicyA wins, dlocc wins. Dlocc eventually swept both of us and earned his next spot for Season 11. Not only that, dlocc nailed a 13-0 picking showmanship and he is currently #12 out of the 1892 who are playing in PG at the moment.

In truly the Hot Bout of the evening, 34 people (53%) picked RDA to grit his way to a win against ultra tough Evan Dunham, who was picked by 30 people (47%). One could make the argument that either one won this fight. You could argue Dunham won and you might be right.
42 people (68%) picked the Brazilian Lineker against the Greg Jackson fighter who was picked by 20 people (32%). In the end, Lineker packs too much power and that Azhamat just can't handle it.

BIGGCASTLE and BITEMYJACKET were the only two (2) to pick Chris Camozzi over Jacare. Camozzi is tough but against an elite like Jacare, he will definitely sleep.

I was tweeting with the throbbing love sack that is our beloved oil_check and he remarked that I'm much crazier on twitter than on here. Now, I know I don't post much because I prefer to watch you guys bicker and hurl homophobic slurs at each other. I digress and let you know If I had unlimited money I would be dead from liver failure in a few years because I'm from the east coast of Canada and we are a bunch of fuckin drunks, but nothing compares to this guy I met in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

I moved out to Alberta at the tender age of 21, freshly dropped out of University because I got drunk studying for finals and forgot to pay my tuition for spring semester. I had heard stories about the stupid amount of money you could make labour work out there I hopped on a plane and moved in with a buddy of mine. Finding the weather in October in northern Alberta to be nut shrivelling I got a Job at the local Telus dealership making very good money and that is where I met a fellow named we affectionately referred to as Iris the Virus. We became very good friends and I learned that the reason he had such a nickname is because he thrived to cause shit.

One day I was invited out to drink with him and his friends from Prince Edward Island, Chief and The Bastard. I had heard stories about The Bastard getting drunk and doing outrageous things but chalked it up to embellishment. I will let you know he lived up to that moniker with fucking gusto.

So, there we are at the bar drinking pony glasses of vodka and redbull. For those of you unaware of what a pony glass is it's a beer pitcher with about 10 shots of vodka and like 5 cans of redbull, the shit should not be fucking sold period let alone to a bunch of rough neck rigg workers. Bastard for some reason decides to stand up on a pool table whip out his little baby dick and start urinating all over this young lady sitting at a table. Her boyfriend fucking lost his shit and walks up with one punch knocks the bastard the fuck out with. Seriously Bisping would pity the bastard after that punch. I figured I should probably leave since I figured the night couldn't get any better than seeing this and I had to work early the next day.

I'm sleeping on my friends couch when I hear banging on my door, I open it to see the bastard covered in blood and too drunk to form words. I'm a nice guy, so I clean him up and let him crash on the chair beside the couch. I woke up a short time later to him pissing on my fucking coffee table and I'm getting his retard piss all over my face and I start freaking out, but he isn't responding to my threats because he's sleep pissing (I should have listened to my friends who warned me because he does this ALOT.)

Anyways that was the first night I met the craziest drunk bastard ever.If you guys want to hear more I have some really fucked stories about his retarded if not just hurl insults at me.

I know oily wanted to hear the story about him getting locked in the closet and forced to smoke a bunch of crack by Native drug dealers and that's a good and short story. He got drunk at the casino met some weird Portuguese guys, they brought him to a house forced him go in to buy weed from some pyscho natives and the natives assumed he was a cop and locked him in a closet for like 6 hours and made him smoke a giant rock of crack.

Recently, Punkass from the famed clothing brand TapouT was seen on Travel Chennel's 'Toy Hunters' and he spent a heft amount... $17,000 on a Boba Fett. The famed hired gun by Darth Vader in the Star Wars saga has quite the cult following and this Kenner prototype which never hit market due to the projectile missle on it's back was nothing more than an uncolored prototype, A figure in it's likeness was in fact made but the figure had the missle 'stuck' to it's back, what fun is that?. Punkass apparently has almost everything you could imagine and when he asked what else the 'Toy Hunter' had, he unveiled the figure. The opening bid was $20,000 (A brokered deal for an Ohio-based comic store) and sought to generate 20% to keep. After a few moments of haggling, Punkass 'punked' him into dropping to $17,000 (Toy Hunter made $3,400). Then again, was it Toy Hunter who punked the obsssesed Stars War fan into paying $17,000 for a firing piece of plastic? Will Punkass' girlfirend kill him and go missing like Sergio Hernandez? I have an honest and sincere question. On that Nick Diaz thread where people are trying to defend why it’s OK to call people faggots without it being a derogatory statement, why is it OK to have the word “fag” or “faggot” nearly 40 times in a thread at the time I am writing this but when I comment back to someone who said, “Is Caraway gay? If he’s not, then now does the word fag qualify as homophobic in this instance? Does saying someone is stupid somehow impune individuas who are actually mentally deficient? I don’t get the hyper-sensitivity. It seems overblown.” I get in trouble because I responded about how that statement they made made is about as smart as saying that if you called someone a derogatory name for African Americans (but said the word) and saying it wasn’t a racist statement if the person wasn’t in fact an African American? Me typing out that word got me extremely close to having the ban hammer thrown down. I get it, if I do the crime I should do the time. I agree in the same regards that Nick Diaz calling someone a “fag” and the UFC taking action is a just action by the UFC, I think that MMAMania has every right to see my use of that racial slur as grounds to take action against me, I get it. But what I don’t get is how is “fag” and “faggot” ok? It is even used in a “cute” manner in the headline of an article by making an alliteration of “fag flap” which used in and of itself out of context is a rather funny phrase. I love this community and have been here for years. This isn’t meant to piss off or be a big middle finger to the Moderators, just an honest question and a desire to discuss this because I am at a loss why it’s OK to sling a word around that refers to a group of human beings in such an inflammatory way in some instances but not others.

Brandon Vera announced on his Facebook page that he is fighting Ben Rothwell in the heavyweight division at UFC 164. Apparently Vera is sick of dieting or doesn't want to rematch Bones. Not sure why he is going back to Heavyweight at all. On top of that does he really think he can defeat other top Heavyweights in the UFC? I cant see him standing a chance against Cain, Dos Santos, Overeem, Big Foot, and more.

In light of recent news of Canseco and Shaq wanting to throw down, what other two notable/famous people should be involved in a 4 man super hulk tourney with Shaq/Canseco, and how would you pair up the bracket?

I for one would choose these two notables: William "Refrigerator" Perry and Kevin James. An older (Perry) celebrity and a current actor who is into MMA. UFC should promote this in their upcoming Fox broadcast.

Pairing should be Shaq v. Kevin James and Canseco v. Perry. Set it up so that Shaq and Canseco who are both favored to meet in the final for the first ever UFC super heavyweight belt.

Jack Slack on Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva: Perfectly Flawed

Again, as it was requested earlier, here's the link to the latest Jack Slack piece. It is a quality breakdown of the flaws (and some positive traits) of the challenger in the upcoming UFC 160 headliner between UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva.

While Silva holds wins over two of the most impressive names in heavyweight MMA-Fedor Emelianenko and Alistair Overeem-he is one of the most obviously flawed fighters in MMA today. While Silva can punch, he can't box for love nor money, and while he has one of the scariest top games in MMA, he is an exceptionally poor wrestler.

The first major flaw in Silva's game is the ponderous way in which he begins every fight. In almost every bout, Bigfoot plods toward his opponent and simply stands there as if he is considering the options available to him-but then almost always leads with a right low kick without any setup.

As you all probably know, Pat Healy recently popped for marijuana, along with lots of other fighters in the past, Nick Diaz being the most notorious for the issue. First and foremost, this post is NOT about the legality issue of marijuana. I know you bastards will make it into that in the comments section, but lets try to at least postpone that part for now.

What this post IS about is the frustrations of a little guy who aspires to be a real professional MMA fighter. Last night, I was relaxing in my man cave after a good night of rolling and sparring, playing some Xbox, thinking about how good life was at that moment. A few minutes later, I was put into a mild rage by a text message. “Healy popped for weed. Sigh.” Now, most people would shake their heads and think “Man, that’s stupid. Legalize it!!!!” But I chose to react differently.

Healy just put on the best performance of his career. He finished a top 5 lightweight. He was probably a fight away from a shot at the world title. He made a crapload of bonus money. And you know what was more important to him than all of that? Weed. Getting high.

Healy owned it like a man, and I give him props for that. I was very pleasantly surprised when he came out with his statement, and it was something other than “fuck the police, LEGALIZE IT!!!” which we hear all too often. However, he made a very simple choice. It’s not like he got high then got a short notice call to fight Jim Miller. He was preparing to fight a top 5 contender. He had a full camp. He knew what a win would mean. And none of that was important enough to Healy to make him “just say no.”

This enrages me. A close friend just got cut from the UFC after beating Mark Hominick and then losing to Diego Brandao. A friend that stated on multiple occasions he loved fighting for the UFC and wanted to keep his job above all else. He followed all rules, competed, lost, and got cut. Nothing “wrong” with that. The UFC can cut fighters on a loss, that’s fine. Myself, I’d read Kyu comics 12 hours a day, every day, for a year, just to get one fight in the UFC. If it didn’t affect the well-being of my wife, friends, or family, I’d do it if it got me into the UFC. No question. Now, I love me some gummy worms. But If I was offered that fight in the UFC, you can bet your ass I’d stay away from the gummy worms for that 3 month camp. Who wouldn’t right? If I was offered a fight that, upon winning, would get me within smelling range of the belt? Jesus Christ on rollerskates, I’d be the very picture of how professionals are supposed to train. So Mr. Healy, respectfully, fuck you for saying that weed is more important than the opportunity you were given. Remember the days when you were grinding it out on the regional cards in rodeo arenas for $500? Yes, you do. Remember when you were dreaming of fighting under the bright lights and making real money? Yes, you do. And you know what? That guy would kick the everliving shit out of you for what you did.

Brian Caraway received Healy’s bonus, and I cannot express enough how goddamn beautiful that is. I can hear Dana White now: “You think smoking weed is more important than fighting in the UFC? Alright motherfucker, we’re gonna take that 65 grand you thought you won and give it to someone who not only follows the rules, he’s banging Meisha Tate. Double burn bitch! Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it motherfucker.”

The point is simple. Having weed in your system while competing is against the rules. So is kneeing the head of a downed opponent. Is it illegal to walk down the street wearing shorts with grips on the inner thighs? Nope. But you know what? It’s illegal to fight in the UFC with those same shorts on. So who cares whats legal and not legal. I don’t think Pat is in danger of going to jail. Its not the point. Its against the rules of the sport, he knew that full well, and said “Nope, don’t care enough about my MMA career, Im gon smoke dis weeeed and get HIIIIIIGGGHHHH!”

That joint better have cost more than $65,000. Otherwise you just fucked yourself hard Healy. And you know that. And I’m glad you can own it. But, you deserve to lose that money. And to be at the bottom of the 155lb ladder.
