Dem fightin' wurds! Triple H called Brock Lesnar a "bitch" on WWE Monday Night RAW (3:54 mark), an accusation bolstered by the former UFC heavyweight champion's decision to take his bald ball and go home. Will he bitch out at this Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view? Or finally show "The Game" why he was once king of the Octagon? The suspense is killing me!
WOW, and I have to agree with him. This will be the greatest striking battle in the UFC!
Jake Shields Breaks down the UFC Middleweight Championship bout between long time title holder Anderson Silva and top contender Chris Weidman
Want to get your hands on Bigfoot Silva, but don't want the giant footprint on your face that comes with it? You're in luck then, as Round 5 will be releasing its "Ultimate Collector" edition of the UFC 160 headliner at select Toys 'R Us stores in August/September 2013. But did they forget to include the UFC heavyweight belt, which is on the line when the Brazilian fights Cain Velasquez for the second time later this month in Las Vegas? See more on that fight here and for more Round 5 collectibles click here.
-- UFC featherweight Jeremy Stephens published his latest video blog as he prepares for his 145-pound debut against Esevan Payan at UFC 160: “Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2” on May 25, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
-- UFC heavyweight Antonio Silva posted a picture of his weight as of Friday (May 10, 2013) on his official Twitter account just over two weeks prior to his UFC 160 title showdown with Cain Velasquez. “Bigfoot” is the physically largest heavyweight on the UFC roster, as he has to cut down to the 265-pound divisional limit. Silva will likely have a 25-35 pound weight advantage over Velasquez on the night of the fight, which could help him earn a victory.
It's been forever and a day since Pat Barry started actually rounding out his Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) skills, but here we are in 2013, and ladies and gentlemen, Patrick Joseph Barry has armbarred someone. He ended up winning bronze. His loss was to a footlock or heel hook that he insta-tapped to. Kind of makes sense - no need to blow a knee or achilles in a small grappling tournament where about the only prize is pride versus the many thousands of dollars he makes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Here's the video of his loss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hfXBW1eF3Y Also of note, his girlfriend and fellow MMA-fighter Rose Namajunas took gold.
-- UFC middleweight (and perhaps future welterweight) Hector Lombard recently posted a picture of his cauliflower ear on his official Twitter account, and the mixed martial arts (MMA) community collectively vomited. There are some nasty cauliflower ears in the sport, but Lombard’s is the kind that will haunt your nightmares for the coming weeks.
