GIF: This Awful Referee (Cough) 'Stoppage' Will Leave You Embarrassed To Be An MMA Fan

What. The. Fuck. Referee Wiekus Swart just stands there, watching Christophe Walravens destroy Bernardo Mikixi with illegal punches to the head earlier today in Johannesburg. No warning, no intervention, no nothing. In fact, Walravens has to physically stop the abuse and throw his hands up before the official even realizes he's supposed to do something. Keep in mind, this is the same promotion that had a fighter die after one of its fights. Congratulations, EFC Africa, you've officially replaced Bellator 113 for "worst stoppage of the year." Thanks to @GrabakaHitman for the GIF (follow him here).

Pic: Chad Mendes Is F---ing Huge And Will Probably Crush You

Uh ... holy shit. UFC featherweight top contender Chad Mendes posted this pic of Team Alpha Male (via Instagram) with the caption "killed a Strength n conditioning workout." He may have killed more than that looking at those legs. I guess the new and improved Cung Le is getting a run for his "Money" in the huge factor. Yikes.

Cody McKenzie Looking For Work Following UFC Departure

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12 standout Cody McKenzie is back on Twitter following his departure from UFC and currently looking for a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion to call home. The "AK Kid" -- known for his guillotine finish -- compiled a 3-4 record inside the Octagon and was never able to generate any kind of momentum; however, he's hoping to get back into the win column on the regional scene and work his way back up to the big show. Ray Sefo ... where you at?

Vladimir Putin wants all Russians to be tough like Steven Seagal

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and American action movie actor Steven Seagal visit a newly-built sports complex of Sambo-70 prominent wrestling school in Moscow. Putin teamed up today with Steven Seagal to promote the Soviet-style regime of rigorous physical training for schoolchildren. Sambo is the official in-house martial art of the KGB security services which Putin practiced before switching to judo.

Pic: Will Chope's Ex-Wife Posts Message Of Support On Facebook After His Abrupt UFC Release For Assault

Will Chope was cut from UFC literally hours before he was set to fight Diego Brandao last weekend in Brazil because of a misdemeanor assault charge against his then-wife that involved a knife. Chope was "shocked" that a mistake he made five years ago was suddenly surfacing and causing such major problems ... especially since he and his ex-wife had mended fences and moved in a positive direction a long time ago. "The Kill" recently shared the Facebook status above, which underscores his ex-wife's support regarding the "mistake," as well as confirms that the pair will issue a joint video interview together tomorrow.

Pic: Anderson Silva Drops By Hospital To Visit Kids With Cancer

Whether or not you're a fan of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Anderson Silva, there is no denying the kind of man he is outside the Octagon. "The Spider," who surprised an ailing young fan back in April 2013, was back in the hospital this week to visit kids stricken with cancer. See more of the Brazilian in action at the facility's official Twitter account here. Hespect.

The EA Sports UFC roster gets a little deeper and a little douchbaggyer

Pic: Johny Hendricks Has A Huge Beer Gut Following Bicep Surgery?

I can't be the only one who had to do a double-take after doped-up Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight titleholder Johny Hendricks tweeted this post-op photo. "Bigg Rigg" went under the knife to repair a torn bicep, suffered in his UFC 171 win over Robbie Lawler (watch it) earlier this month in Dallas, Texas, and drove away with his bandaged limb tucked under his shirt. The champ is expected to return to the Octagon this fall. Against who? That remains to be seen...
