It’s okay to be scared.
Streaking Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou is ready to take his mixed martial arts (MMA) career to the next level, having closed up shop overseas and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Goodbye Paris, hello “Sin City.”
Ngannou (10-1) broke into the top five of his division by breaking former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski back in January. Fans were calling for a showdown opposite fellow rising contender Derrick Lewis, but “The Predator” was unimpressed with “The Black Beast.”
As far as Ngannou is concerned, there are bigger fish to fry at 265 pounds, including former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez. Unfortunately, that sort of pairing could take several months to materialize, due to this.
For now, Ngannou remains unbooked, though a trio of fight cards is coming up in July with several big names attached. How the promotion decides to match him up remains to be seen.
Any names come to mind?
