Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight titleholder Joanna Jedrzejczyk will put her 115-pound title on the line against division top contender Jessica Andrade at the UFC 211 pay-per-view (PPV) event, set for May 13, 2017 inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
And yes, Jedrzejczyk is aware that “Bate Estaca” has been talking all sorts of trash while claiming the champ has a brittle chin.
“I will not go crazy with her, I will not say like creepy stuff to her,” Jed told Submission Radio. “But the thing is, like I said, people get crazy sometimes and they think when they’re gonna talk more, they’re gonna get more exposure. Maybe they will, but let’s talk in the Octagon on the day of the fight on March 13 in Dallas.”
Jedrzejczyk (13-0) defended her strap in a five-round war against Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205 last November. It was her seventh straight win under the UFC banner and her fourth consecutive title defense.
The younger, shorter Andrade (16-5) dropped down from the bantamweight division to ply her trade at strawweight, which proved to be the right decision after racking up three straight wins with two violent finishes.
