Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Michael Bisping is gearing up for his next title defense, a showdown against former 170-pound kingpin Georges St-Pierre, who is expected to battle “The Count” later this year.
More on that fight here.
But the thought of “Rush” walking off the streets after more than three years away from the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) — and beating the brash Brit — sounds even crazier than St-Pierre’s claims of alien encounters.
From TMZ:
“I’m feeling very confident. Georges St-Pierre is crazy! He thinks he’s going to come back after three years and beat me? Anderson Silva couldn’t beat me, Dan Henderson couldn’t beat me, Luke Rockhold got knocked out in the first round. GSP is out there saying he was abducted by aliens. I think we can all agree that aliens don’t exist so the guy is out of his mind. This is proof once again the he’s out of his mind. He thinks he’s going to stroll off the couch, three years sat on his ass, come in and take my title? The guy is out of his fucking mind.”
St-Pierre must first go through several rounds of drug testing from United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) while Bisping heals up from his recent knee surgery. In the interim, expect a lot more back-and-forth banter.
With the occasional jab from this guy.
