Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim featherweight champion Max Holloway is reaping the benefits of the organization’s new ownership, which came by way of $4 billion purchase from WME | IMG.
Talent agents running the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion?
That means bigger and better opportunities outside the Octagon (just ask this UFC champion). The latest UFC fighter headed to Tinseltown is interim featherweight titleholder Max Holloway.
“Blessed” will be playing a bank robber in the new action-movie “Den of Thieves,” starring Gerard “Leonidas” Butler and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
“Next week is my first shoot. I’ll be out there for one week, then in March to April, I will be gone for one month shooting for them. We’ll be in Atlanta,” Holloway told FOX Sports (via Bloody Elbow). “This is my first acting job. I’m nervous. I’m excited. I’m a small little Hawaiian boy, and English isn’t really my strength, but I’m excited and can’t wait for the opportunity.”
Holloway, creator of the #WheresAldo hashtag, should be used to waiting.
“Den of Thieves” is about a bunch of bank robbers who want to steal a bunch of money and a bunch of good guys try to stop them. Cars will drive really fast and bullets will fly even faster. Expect lots of explosions.
I’ll watch!
