Johny Hendricks (finally) made his Middleweight debut inside the Octagon, taking on fellow hard-hitting contender Hector Lombard in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 105, which went down last night (Sat., Feb. 19, 2017) inside Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
And the move up proved fruitful for "Bigg Rigg," as he managed to walk away with a unanimous decision victory, stopping the bleeding from his previous three-fight losing streak at Welterweight. It wasn't easy, though, as Hendricks had to eat a few of Lombard's bombs, which found their mark early. But, the former 170-pound champion absorbed the strikes and delivered many of his own, including several knees to Lombard's face, troubling the judoka.
While Hendricks' career took a turn for the best in Halifax, the same can't be said for Lombard, who is now the owner of a three-fight skid.
