The UFC Fight Night 103 injuries and medical suspensions for those athletes competing at the “Rodriguez vs. Penn” mixed martial arts (MMA) event last Sunday night (Jan. 15, 2017) from inside Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, were released on Wednesday by Arizona Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts Commission.
Leading the list of mandatory timeouts is featherweight phenomenon Yair Rodriguez, who was suspended indefinitely for damage sustained in his headliner against BJ Penn. That may sound surprising considering the amount of damage “Pantera” handed to “The Phenom” (see it), but specific injuries were not disclosed.
That's not all.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
