As we speak, the cast of UFC 200 -- this Saturday night's (July 9, 2016) epic pay-per-view (PPV) extravaganza from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada -- are in the process of cutting weight for their scale-tipping obligations on Friday afternoon.
That's why the "Embedded" pre-fight video blog cameras have opted to torture them with food.
From the official YouTube description:
On Episode 1 of UFC 200 Embedded, interim light heavyweight champion Jon Jones keeps the mood light in the gym alongside all-star training partners like Holly Holm, Carlos Condit and UFC 200's Diego Sanchez. His rival and reigning champion Daniel Cormier trains with Cain Velasquez, another star of UFC 200, before heading home to cook meatballs for his kids. In Rio de Janeiro, featherweight title contender Jose Aldo drills with a recently-ignited fervor and goes to the burger joint that he both enjoys and owns. His opponent, former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, takes his family for some tacos on the Jersey Shore and practices jiu-jitsu with lightweight title challenger Eddie Alvarez. UFC 200 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the three championship bouts and two heavyweight collisions at the historic UFC 200, taking place Saturday, July 9 on Pay-Per-View.
