Who will Dominick Cruz fight next?
John Lineker -- if the decision was left to the power-punching Brazilian. Unfortunately for "Hands of Stone," Joe Silva and Sean Shelby handle the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) matchmaking, which means he's at the mercy of the promotion.
But is also willing to help his own cause, according to his conversation with Combate (via Bloody Elbow):
"I believe Dillashaw is the way for me to get a fight with Dominick Cruz. It would be a huge test for me and his style is very similar to Cruz. I think that if I beat Dillashaw, I'll get a title shot next. If it were up to me, I would get back in there tomorrow if I got the call from the UFC. But I think I'll be back in about three months. If I could, I would like to fight in November. That's what I'm here to do."
A lot of Brazilians seem to have their eyes set on November.
Working against Lineker is the fact that bantamweight is pretty crowded right now (see it), with Bryan Caraway and Cody Garbrandt, among others, all sitting above him in the official rankings. Speaking of which, Dillashaw is No. 1 after turning away Raphael Assuncao.
